Orthopedic Surgeon returns to Lower Keys Medical Center

Key West, FL – September 27, 2017 – Lower Keys Medical Center and Keys Medical Group are pleased to welcome back Robert Loeffler, M.D., to the orthopedics and sports medicine program. Dr. Loeffler is scheduled to begin seeing patients on October 9th.
A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Loeffler has specialized certifications in sports medicine and arthroscopy. He has practiced in the Keys since 2002. Prior to that, he maintained a practice in Denver, Colorado, where he also served as an associate professor at the University of Colorado Health Science Center and the director of the sports medicine division for the University of Colorado and the University of Denver.
Dr. Loeffler left Key West in March 2017 to continue his international humanitarian aid work with Doctors Without Borders, serving in the Middle East.
“I have committed to come back to the Keys and look forward to resuming my practice and to working with Dr. Bensen,” said Dr. Loeffler. Christopher Bensen, M.D., joined Keys Medical Group – Orthopedics in April of 2017.
