Commitment to Our Community
Each day, your family, friends and neighbors come together united in their value of service and commitment to caring for patients who seek care at Lower Keys Medical Center. Physicians on the medical staff, nurses, employees and volunteers continuously seek ways to provide quality medical care and to extend healthcare into our community.
As the community's only hospital and one of the area's largest employers, Lower Keys Medical Center plays a critical role in Key West. The 167-bed facility offers 24/7 access to emergency, cardiology, orthopedic, surgical, labor and delivery, behavioral health services and more. The Keys Medical Group team strives to keep our community healthy with primary care providers and specialists, for which access is expanding. In addition, more than $100 million in community benefit is realized each year through tax payments, uncompensated care and other initiatives.
Lower Keys Medical Center is a responsible and generous community member, supporting community organizations through the donation of time as well as money. A natural extension of our caring for the Keys community, we support a variety of non-profit organizations that meet community health needs. We encourage our employees to do the same.
Investments are made to enhance and expand services to meet the medical needs of our community. We regularly evaluate the Lower Keys population and the hospital's infrastructure to offer the most needed services.
The hospital is committed to delivering high quality, compassionate medical care. Across the emergency room, inpatient rooms, outpatient clinics and physician practices, we work hard to ensure patients and visitors in our hospital have a positive experience. We value feedback from patients, their families and the community. We want to hear from you. Email us at Feedback@LKMC.com or call the patient advocate at (305) 294-5531, extension 3360.
