Gastroenterologist Joins Medical Staff at Lower Keys Medical Center

Key West, FL – September 27, 2017 – Gastroenterologist R. Andrew Packard, M.D. has joined the medical staff of Lower Keys Medical Center.
Dr. Packard and his wife, Gina, have been frequent visitors to the Keys. They relocated to Key West full-time in August from Hudson, New York, where Dr. Packard served as a staff gastroenterologist at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
A Yale-educated physician, Dr. Packard completed his Fellowship at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He has dual board-certifications by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and in the subspecialty of Gastroenterology. Dr. Packard is a nationally-published author and researcher who created the term “Weight Health” as a public health initiative.
Dr. Packard has joined the practice of Keys Medical Group where he will treat a multitude of GI conditions including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease and cancers of the GI tract. He brings decades of experience in endoscopic investigations, including specialization in biliary work, which allows him to assist surgeons in locating stones in the bile duct to help prevent complications before and after gallbladder surgery.
