Entrance To Lower Keys Medical Center Temporarily Relocated
12/6/2018
Key West, FL – Lower Keys Medical Center has invested in renovation and construction projects to enhance access, convenience and safety for patients and visitors. As part of those projects, the main entrance and lobby will be redesigned.
From November 28th to mid-January, the main entrance to the hospital will be temporarily closed while the entrance vestibule is expanded. Patients and visitors are asked to enter through the cafeteria patio doorway to the right of the main entrance between 6:30 AM and 7 PM. The emergency room entrance was renovated earlier in the year and will not be affected.
“We apologize for any temporary inconvenience to our patients and visitors as we improve our facility. All of our employees are ready to assist anyone entering the hospital with directions and escort to the appropriate department,” said David Clay, CEO of Lower Keys Medical Center. Security officers or volunteers will also be available at a desk near the temporary entrance.
In addition to the hospital project, the main driveway and entrance to the hospital parking lot will be closed, beginning Monday, December 3rd through Thursday, December 6th, due to the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority waterline project. Vehicles coming from lower College Road can enter the hospital parking lot by the entrance driveway between the hospital and Key West Health and Rehabilitation. From upper College Road, vehicles can enter the main parking lot through the Emergency Room driveway.
